Dr Tom Wright
Originally from Sydney, Dr Tom has gained extensive experience working in Darwin and Timor-Leste before completing GP training in Cairns. He enjoys all aspects of general practice and is committed to delivering compassionate, patient-focused care. He believes that quality healthcare starts with open communication and trust. He is passionate about supporting patients in achieving their health goals and takes the time to listen, understand, and tailor healthcare plans to each patient’s unique needs and lifestyle choices.
Dr Tom has completed additional training to provide comprehensive support to women at every stage of life. This includes pregnancy (both planned and unplanned), contraception (including bulk-billed Implanon and IUD (Mirena) insertions), heavy and painful periods, and menopause
Outside of work, Dr Tom enjoys hiking, camping, SCUBA diving and playing with his dog Jessie.
